Welcome to my website, may I tell you a little about myself.

My name is Keith Allinson Newton, I am a Yorkshireman, born and brought up in Bradford and it is still my home town.

I gained a Higher National Certificate in Photography as a mature student at Bradford College and have been awarded a Licentiateship by the Royal Photographic Society.

After qualifying I took early retirement from engineering to concentrate on photography.

My fellow students and I decided that the bonds of friendship made whilst completing the course should be allowed to continue. From this emerged 'The Lightcollectors' and under this name we have created a group website www.thelightcollectors.com and held our first exihibition in 2010, which has become an annual event. 

I have a preference for nature and animal photography and I have travelled to various locations around the UK, many of which are active in captive breeding programs of endangered species. I firmly believe that if we all do a little towards conserving our environment, then we and future generations will still be able to marvel at the wonders of nature  that surrounds us. 

My wife Anne, a photographer in her own right specalising in mother and baby photography has recently ventured into wedding photography.  A project which I have been assisting her with.
